Kevin Hart is taking his life lessons on the road, and he’s spilling the tea from his tell-all book including how he almost came to blows with his ex-wife.
While promoting his latest book, I Can’t Make This Up: Life Lessons Kevin Hart revealed he made some pretty major mistakes in his life while married to his first wife, Torrei Hart. The mega star told the hosts on The Breakfast Club about his troubled marriage and how he knew the marriage was over when he raised his hands to the mother of his two children.
“Me and my ex got into it and I took a stance like, ‘Ok, I’m waiting,’ because I was going to dip and then bow! I’m like, ‘Oh my God! I’m gone. I’ve lost it. At what level of anger am I at that I’ve gotten here?’ I was like, ‘Alright Kev, you’re going to take responsibility. Whether she did whatever she did, you got to start taking responsibility.’ And when I started doing that, that’s when I started to grow. That’s when I started to get better.”
Hart had previously admitted he was at fault for the failure of his marriage due to marrying too young and wanting to be a player, but the domestic violence is something he revealed in his book and compelled to tell his story as a learning tool.
Eventually Hart and his first wife found peace with their past and now co-parent their two young children. Hart is expecting his third child with current wife, Eniko Parrish.
