Dennis Quaid admits years later that his ego got in the way of his marriage to Meg Ryan.
Turns out the alleged affair between Meg Ryan and her Proof of Life co-star Russell Crowe didn’t break up her 10-year marriage to Dennis Quaid. Ryan’s ex-husband is taking blame for the downfall of their marriage.
The actor opened up to Megyn Kelly Today about his regrets during the marriage.
“When we met I was the big deal. We’d go out on the streets of New York and it would be like, ‘Meg! Meg!’ And I have to admit it, I actually did feel like I disappeared. I didn’t think I was that small, but I was. It was a growth opportunity — I learned from that.”
Meg Ryan and Dennis Quaid fell in love during production of Inner Space (1987). They went on to marry in 1991 and divorced nine years later. Quaid, who has been married and divorced three times, also called his time with Ryan his most successful relationship to date.
Unfortunately the realization came too late to save that celebrity marriage.
