Seven years before accusing husband Johnny Depp of spousal abuse, Amber Heard was reportedly arrested for domestic violence against her then girlfriend.
The incident occurred in 2009 at the Seattle-Tacoma International Airport with Heard allegedly striking Tasya van Ree in the arm after having an argument.
According to TMZ, Heard was arrested, booked for misdemeanor domestic violence and appeared in court the following day. She was eventually released after the prosecution refused to file charges.
Despite the altercation, the Magic Mike XL actress continued to be in a relationship with the photographer for four more years, until their breakup in 2012.
Somehow the arrest went unnoticed in the press until Heard’s recent split from Depp amid accusations of physical abuse.
